Egg Waffle or Gai Daan Jai is a popular street food in Hong Kong. The juice made of egg, sugar, flour, evaporated milk, etc. is poured in the middle of two special honeycomb-shaped iron templates and then baked over the fire. The finished Egg Waffles are half-empty, golden, smell like cake and have a special texture. Now some stores would add chocolate, coconut, black sesame and so on to flavor the traditional Gai Daan Jai.
