Mapo Tofu (Sauteed Tofu in Hot and Spicy Sauce)

1 Reviews

Mapo Tofu (Stir-Fried Tofu in Hot Sauce) is a popular Chinese dish from Sichuan Province. It enjoys a high popularity among not only Chinese people but also many western countries. Useful Tips: 1. Rinse or soak the tofu cubes in boiling water with a little amount of salt can help to make the tofu tenderer and much strong. Also, it will not be easy to break. 2. Before adding the salt, you’d better try the dish. This is because the chili paste is salty. 3. Before stir-fry the minced meat, it is best to marinate it with cooking wine and salt for 20 minutes. 4. During the braising process, better use slowest fire to cook the tofu. It will absorb the taste with the help of time.
